Start with the lipsticks texture. I strongly recommend trying a matte red lipstick and applying it with a lip brush. M.A.C. Cosmetics carry a color titled, ';M.A.C. Red'; that is super hot, and they also have Viva Glam 1, which is a great buy not only for the color, but 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this lipstick goes to the M.A.C AIDS Fund.

Matte lipstick is virtually impossible to bleed out and it also will keep it's color longer on your lips. I would also not use lip gloss, especially anything sticky. If a glossy look is what you are going for, try a super emollient chap-stick, such as Burt's Bee's.How can you keep red lipstick from bleeding besides using lip liner?
