Try window cleaner. I use it all over the house and cars, good on stains and just for cleaning in general. Good Luck!
Goo Gone is the best product i've found, and it's safe on carpets. It will take that lipstick out and also is good for getting gum out of carpet. All you need to do is follow the easy instructions :)
