I think it depends on your skin color and how smokey the smokey eye is. If it's a really dark, really dramatic one, then go for a more nude or slightly pink-tinged lip. If not, maybe a little more color.





For me, I would choose a deep blue-tinged red (for the evening), or a light cranberry shade (for everyday). I like Bath and Body Works 'Cranberry Cocktail' Liplicious stuff.

Most professional make-up artists will recommend that you either go dramatic on the eyes or the lips, not both. Both may look good in a music video but people don't walk around like that in real life for a reason.
