How Can I Get Red Lipstick Out Of My Carpet?

My toddler is into her terrible twos, heisted my purse and drew all over the carpet with my RED lipstick! Is there anything that will get that out???How Can I Get Red Lipstick Out Of My Carpet?
Hi

This type of stain is one of the hardest to get out the carpet.

I would recommend using a wet vac and slowly pour hot almost boiling water (from a kettle) on the spot and vacuum it up at the same time, (this will open up the dye ports on the carpet fibre releasing the stain. and remove the residue from the carpet).

If the stain is still visible than try putting Dawn dishwashing liquid (4 or 5 drops into one cup of water) or carpet spotter. Dampen the spot letting it soak on the stain for about 5 minutes and repeat step one. After this you should rinse the area again with the wet vac and hot water. If this doesn鈥檛 work try using orange glo or even 409. The most important thing to do is rinse the stain with a wet vac and hot water from a kettle to remove all the reside, or the spot may come back.

Only as a last resort if you have rubbing alcohol Blot the chemical onto the spot and then remove with a towel and repeat, keep on doing this until stain is gone or you stop getting colour transfer. Then rinse the stain with a wet vac and hot water to remove all the reside,

Please be careful with what product you uses (neutral PH carpet cleaning solution is best). Please DO NOT put anything on the carpet that was not made for carpet.

It is bright red. Help! How do you get lipstick out of your carpet? My dog got ahold of my lipstick, and it's all over my cream carpet
After you have scraped off any residue, be careful not to ';push'; it into the carpeting, take fingernail polish remover on a white rag and dab at it. Dont rub. Rinse the area with plain water when you are done. Dont put cleaning chemicals on it, this will only set the stain and even a professional can not get red out once it is set. If some red tint remains, you could go to the store and get a tannin remover. Tannin is the substance in red that makes it permanent. How do you get lipstick out of your carpet? use a grease cutter.... Dawn Dishwashing liquid.

    Be Blessed
Goo be gone will take it right out, but be carefull not to use too much or you can damage the backing of the carpet. After you get as much of the stain out as possible, use a steam cleaner to get the rest and also rinse the carpet out.
try eye make up remover or the one that never fails for me is hairspray will get just about anything out even biro off the sofa !!

Loosen stain with a non-flammable dry cleaning solvent.

Or purchase a product called Goo Gone and follow directions on bottle

    Remove carpet stains

You can lift out many stains from your carpet with vinegar:

Rub light carpet stains with a mixture of 2 tablespoons salt dissolved in 1/2 cup white vinegar. Let the solution dry, then vacuum.

For larger or darker stains, add 2 tablespoons borax to the mixture and use in the same way.

For tough, ground-in dirt and other stains, make a paste of 1 tablespoon vinegar with 1 tablespoon cornstarch, and rub it into the stain using a dry cloth. Let it set for two days, then vacuum.

To make spray-on spot and stain remover, fill a spray bottle with 5 parts water and 1 part vinegar. Fill a second spray bottle with 1 part nonsudsy ammonia and 5 parts water. Saturate a stain with the vinegar solution. Let it settle for a few minutes, then blot thoroughly with a clean, dry cloth. Then spray and blot using the ammonia solution. Repeat until the stain is gone

    Good Luck !
Use Goo Gone. Ive used it several times on my carpet for various things and lip gloss was one of them.

I recently heard that WD-40 works miracles, but I don't have any

    experience.

Sounds like you have the opportunity to try it though. How i can you remove lipstick off of your walls?
I would say use the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, but that will probably leave you with a similar problem, as the chemical may still strip some of your paint and make it look faded in the area you clean. Here's an article that may be more helpful: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article鈥?/a>
Try rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide on a towel.

How do you know what lipstick shade is best for you?

I have more unused lipsticks then I'd like to mention. I like to wear shades of red, but my skin tone is so fair that I can never find the right shade. I finally did find the perfect shade but it was discontinued. How do you find the right shade without buying them? How do you know what lipstick shade is best for you?
I went to Merle Norman and had a facial. They matched up everything. I also had fun doing it.How do you know what lipstick shade is best for you?
    i'm a gloss girl
Without buying it? Ok. Have a light pink and mix it with a tenny tiny bit of red. The bright reds don't look good on fair skin! I learned the hard way!
when you test them, the skin on the back of your handis meant to be similar to your face tone. i also have every colour but my fave, i use a lip brush and mix and match... i also use a darker lip liner than i need, then blend it inwards with alight or gloss shade. i have a combination which is my fave at the mo...until i buy the next one that isnt quite right!!!!!

i dontt spend more than ten minutes in front of a mirror either so its not a time consuing thing.... hopethis helps!
I'd wear get several test size tubes and ask my friends which looks the best. I trust my friends.
Rub it on your forehead and see if it matches your eyes.
take the lippy with you to a store that sells them then try n mach it up
taking your skin tone int consideration, bubble gum pink, light pink, baby pink, pale pink will look good on you
Try to mix yr favorite colors by all the colors you have.
well, look at your skin colour, your eyes, and your hair. go to a beauty consultant, and ask them what they thing...they;ll be able to test lipsticks on you with out you having to buy them...the stock up, and voila! you'll have a supply of the lipstick that suited YOU!

    hope this helps!

and good luck for the hunt for the perfect shade!

    :)
If you want to buy a shade of lipstick, ALWAYS dab the shade on your fingertip. Thats the color closest to your lips, and hopefully you won't pick the wrong colors anymore.

I had the same problem, and trust me, this one really changed my life around!! Hope it helps you too.

    GoodLuck!
It depends on your skin tone- fair, medium, dark AND your undertones- red, yellow, blue. For example, I have light/med. skin but I have an olive complexion (with green %26amp; yellow undertones) so someone else with light/med. skin but with red undertones (making your skin look more pinkish) would be able to pull of lipstick shades that I couln't and vice versa.
I would rec. going to a beauty counter at a store, finding your colour. Then buying it from a brand you like!! If you are fair, try a brown raisiny colour, or just a clear gloss!
Go to a department store and try some on, either buy the color there or go to the drug store and find the same color.
    Testing...

Why not you try it into your lips before buy it?...

    Im also same with you...

But, before buy the lipstick, Im usually try to apply the lipstick that I choose into my lips....

    Just do it my friend..

    We are the buyers......
well it depends the shade of ur skin like if ur skin is like white ,then try a color a little highr than that like ,pink or peach...but if ur a little darker try like red,or a hot pink...
You must consider the undertones of your skin. MAC is a good cosmetics counter to shop, and try several shades of red before buying. Look at the color on you outside in natural light, and bring a trusted friend for an honest opinion. You can try reds in different textures, a lip stain, gloss, matte creamy, etc. Good luck!
I don't know if you have Rite-Aid in your area, but they have a policy on make-up purchases -- if you aren't happy you can return it, no questions asked. This is to encourage you to buy when you may not be certain, rather than walk away. They feel that eventually, you will find all of your preferred products and you'll shop exclusively with them. You might want to verify with your local Rite-Aid (if they are in your area) that they abide by this policy before purchasing, but I'm pretty sure it's a national policy. The California stores abide by this.

How do you remove red lipstick from white polyester?

My eldest daughter's white first Holy Communion dress now fits my youngest daughter for Confirmation. Over the years though, it was used to play weddings, hence the lipstick! It's 100% polyester, warm hand wash, no dry cleaning. How do you remove red lipstick from white polyester?
Try acetone. That's what we used to use when I worked in the junior department of an upscale store. It can be used on almost all synthetics (polyester, nylon, etc. It worked on make-up such as foundation, lipstick, even grease! It saved a lot of clothes from being returned to the manufacturer as ';damaged';.You can buy acetone in the paint department of even retail stores as walmart. (just ask them, they should know where it is.It's usually near the turpentine and paint thinner. It's in a metal container. I would test it first in a inconspicuous area of the dress, first. But I feel confident it will work. I've never not seen it get anything out, especially lipstick, which is common in dressing rooms as people are trying clothes on. :) Please let us know. How do you remove red lipstick from white polyester?
Your teen daughter is able to wear a dress from a second-grader???

It's been a long time since I was raised Catholic, but First Communion was for kids in second grade and Confirmation occurred in tenth grade.

Do you mean that your teen is getting confirmed and you want your youngest to wear your teen's old communion/playtime dress to the ceremony?

Lipstick is wax-based. You should be able to ';melt'; it out. Sandwich the affected area between two heavy paper towels and set your iron on low. Iron the area with lipstick and the wax should be melted and absorbed by the paper towels.

The last of the color stain should be worked out using OxyClean and hand-washing.
Hi..i would try hand cleaner like the mechanics use. It is inexpensive and can be bought at Walmart or Canadian tire. Rub it on, let sit for a half hour, then wash as usual OR wipe off with a damp rag. I use it for all kinds of stains and have never seen it damage anything.
100% polyester dry cleans just fine. You probably have a bad label in the garment but a quality cleaners will be able to do it.

What is the most appropate age for someone to start wearing lipstick?

In your opinion,w hat is the most appropate age for someone to start wearing lipstick?

Please ANswer !What is the most appropate age for someone to start wearing lipstick?
I suppose it really just depends on what type of lip color you're going for. Lip gloss is back and in full affect so if you really want lip color I'd go with something like that. It gives you color AND shine. I mean I'm 20 and love make up but I hardly ever wear lipstick. Honestly, if you're 12-15 you don't want anything too heavy anyway. Being light and natural is always the key.

I love Bourjois 3D Effect glosses as well as Dior Addict and Guerlain's glosses. Oddly enough I've become addicted to Bath %26amp; Body's glosses as well because they have nice color and taste good (very kissable stuff, lol)What is the most appropate age for someone to start wearing lipstick?
To be honest, lipstick should not be worn on a daily basis until you have started a career. Especially dark lipstick. Gloss is something I still use daily, and I'm married, a mother and work full time. Gloss comes in so many different colors, and it's much more age appropriate for a girl in her teens. Lipstick used on a special occasion (such as prom, a job interview, or another special event) is perfectly acceptable, but anyone using lipstick on a regular basis under the age of 20 is bound to look clownish.
i think it depends on what color the lipstick is...but if your going for age, i think 13 but it should be like a nice light color and 18 for darker colors like a red or something.
Other than special occasions, I would not recommend lipstick for anyone under 17 or even 18. Lip gloss is enough until you are older.
Lipgloss- about 12 or 13 years old- light colors

    Lipstick-about 16-17-18 years old....

    Lighter colors @ 16 and 17
I think it depends on the color/intensity. I think to wear something subtle would be fine at 13 or 14. For something a bit more racey, I think a girl should be 17 or 18.
13 for little colors 15 for any color or kind that you want.
If I have a daughter, I would tell her to wear lipgloss until she's 16. ;-)
